Fleming was born at Fountainhead, Sumner County, TN. He married07-Mar-1841 to Elmarine Ethel Watwood. They moved to Fannin County, TX.in 1857. His wife died in 1864, and he remarried to Elizabeth EllenHorsley.


Fleming died 22-Apr-1888, and was buried next to his first wife inCoontown Cemetery. (This cemetery is on private property and has no signsindicating it is there. The cemetery is grossly overgrown and unkept.)
